Fine Art Prints
I hope that you enjoy browsing through my online galleries, yet all of my photographs are really designed to be displayed in large fine art prints.
The great amount of detail, color, and depth in large fine art prints creates a unique emotional experience, which you can appreciate for years to
come. I use the best equipment available so that you and your children can enjoy my art for over a century.
The printing process
Also I offer fine art prints. Capturing a beautiful image is only a small part of the actual work required to create fine art prints. To produce my
high quality fine art prints, I use the most recent technology. Every print, I make, has to surpass my own quality expectations.
You may purchase fine art prints for most of the images from my Galleries. Simply select the purchase option below the image to choose between the
different sizes available. The optimal print size varies for each image because of several factors: type of film, digital format, and degree of
light.
Every print is crafted in my home studio. I print all of my photographs on “Harman Glossy Warmtone fiber paper” using a professional Epson 7880
printer with the Ultrachrome K3 inkset. This combination is certified by the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute to last over 100 years without signs
of aging when properly displayed (framed behind UV protective glass or acrylic). Upon on request, I can alternatively provide everything from mat to
high gloss papers.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Purchasing Prints
To order prints, simply navigate to the page of the individual photograph that you wish to purchase and select the "order print"-link. It takes you to
a screen where you can choose the size and type you want. Once your selection is in the “shopping cart,” you are taken to a secure PayPal processor.
For photographs not located in the main gallery a short guide can be found here.
An overview over my print prices for open editions can be found here.
Exclusive Limited Editions
Most prints are "Open Editions." Every print is digitally signed on the front, hand-signed and dated on the back.
Only on occasion, I offer very exclusive limited editions. The edition size is 25 pieces (unless otherwise noted). Every limited edition print comes
with a signed certificate of authenticity. These photographs have never been printed before and no future prints will ever be made. Within each
limited edition, the print price of each photograph increases as the edition reaches its limit of 25 pieces.
Matted and Framed prints
Most prints can be purchased as:
Print-Only
For people who prefer to mat and frame the prints on their own, an unmatted print is the right choice.
Matted Prints
All matting is done by in house. This way I can ensure quality mounting with museums’ quality materials. Standard matting can be done in black or
white. Prints have a 2-8 inch mat depending on their printed size. If you want a custom mat color or mat size please contact me.
Fine Art DIASEC - Glass Face-Mounting
Imagine a print behind glass, without a frame, just floating in the air. That is what the Fine Art Diasec mounting looks like.
DIASEC is a special process to create a durable bond between a print and high quality (acrylic) glass without any smears or blisters. This unique seal
gives you a high-end product that provides protection against UV light and weather conditions.
This process raises the standard for extraordinary image quality even further. With vibrant colors, deep black tones and luscious contrast, it offers
a quality similar, if not surpassing traditional glass framing.
All DIASEC mounted prints are shipped in padded wooden boxes and ready-to-hang.
Print quality guarantee
Purchasing a fine art print only viewed on the internet can be a tough call. I stand 100% behind the quality of my art. I have no doubts that my
prints exceed your expectations. If for any reason you should not be satisfied with your order, I am more than happy to issue a full refund (excluding
return postage) for any print purchases that are returned in new condition within 14 days of receiving the product.
Shipping and Print Delivery
I offer free shipping on all smaller prints domestically as well as internationally. For larger Fine Art DIASEC, the packaging and shipping in a
wooden box costs an additional 40EUR. Prints are shipped in strong containers shaped either in flat box or in a tube.
All of my prints are made to order. So, please allow two to four weeks for delivery, depending on the mounting option chosen. Insured shipping is
handled by DHL, UPS or FedEx. You will receive a tracking number via email to ensure timely delivery.
Handling
When handling the unmatted print, be careful and make sure you have a clean flat dry surface to lay the print on. Ensure your hands are clean before
handling the print (white cotton gloves are ideal). Prints easily crease when being treated the wrong way. Always hold the print by opposing corners
to avoid damages. Print-only and matted prints purchases should be framed as soon as possible to ensure the longevity of the art.
